Hello, this is my first post here. I have in the past build some MAME arcade machines, using generic danish arcade cabinets - with computer, CRT/LCD/TV monitor and an IPAC.
These projects have worked out great, but now I want the real arcade feel - so I've been looking in to different options and come to this conclusion:
I WOULD WERE MUCH LOVE TO OWN A SEGA ASTRO CITY! ;D
Now my question is, have anyone in this forum converted one of these to use with MAME? Any complications? Will I need an JPAC and an arcadeVGA - or is there any other way to connect the monitor to the computer? I will still be able to use the IPAC I have, but question is if it's the best solution.
I would like to hear some inputs from you quys before I go out and purchase the ~1000$ machine I've been looking at (These machines are rather expensive here in Denmark :o).

Astro city are great cabs !!!! love it
If you already have a Mame cab, i will just keep the Astro AS-IS, and buy some Pcb ...
always great to have both, Mame & Jamma cab
But if you really want to Mame it, just buy the J-PAC and you will be ok to Go ;)
