It probably all depends on the game, but you can expect that from viewing a PC on a TV (unless it's HDTV).

In Windows you can decrease your resolution (in fact, I would recommend download a program like PowerStrip and decreasing it to 640X480).

On top of that you can increase your Windows font size. This is done slightly differently in different versions of Windows but you should still find it in your desktop properties.

As for text inside games, that would be up to the game. Again, try decreasing the resolution as far as possible. Don't be afraid to show it at something as low as 320X200, either. A regular TV screen can't really handle better than that, anyways. Most games that I know of don't allow changing font sizes, but they do let you change the resolution and that can make a huge difference.

As an added bonus, you might find your games runnign smoother, too. Good luck. Sorry I can't help more than that.

What the hell has that got to do with arcade controls? You're talking about TV cards and PC games so you come to a cabinet building arcade site. Makes plenty of sense.

I'm guessing tiger woods plays at upwards resolutions of 1024x768. Well, TV's cant show resolutions that high in which case every fine detail, including text, will be blurred to buggery.

Maybe he's building an arcade machine and wants to use other games with it? Maybe he built a control panel and plays arcade games on his living room tv and wants PC games on it too?

He has an honest, valid question and it's not hard to answer. People on these boards talk about console games, TV's, and PC games all the time.

I'm sure he wouldn't be here without a good reason. Haven't you ever had a question?

Point taken. I did respond to the question in a fashion though.

Re-reading the question though - 'can I get text bigger for pc games?', I am pretty sure that you cannot. Most games arent as, whoa, wait a minute, some fps games like quake (etc) will let you change the size of onscreen text and hud elements sometimes, but I think you'll be waiting a long time for a 'large text' patch for tiger woods to come out.

Like Alan says, just chuck her on the lowest resolution possible and hope for the best!
