I have a scratch built mame cab with a plexiglass topped control panel. The plexi is held in place by 4 bolts and all of the buttons. I have noticed that the CP Overlay that I had printed at mamemarquees.com is starting to get damaged, especially around the bolts. The graphic has become cracked and it is getting progressively worse. Is there anyway I can repair this? Is there some type of protective coating I can use for the CP overlay? Should I glue the CP overlay down to the CP?
To be clear I am not putting any fault on mamemarquees.com I had the overlay printed without the protective coating they offer. I figured the plexi would do the job. When I get a chance I will post some pics.

If I were you, I would pull up the art, cleanly cut out an area around any point of stress in a circular shape, then paint the CP underneath it a complementary color.

If you can pull up the art without further damaging it, do so, then flatten it out and clean it up as best you can (glue or tape it to black (or colour to match artwork) construction paper if it helps) , and get it laminated. Cut out button holes, bolt holes, etc with an xacto.
Or get another overlay printed. (with protective coating option or laminated).
