Title: NDS flash card
Post by: whatzcrackn on February 06, 2008, 10:32:23 am
Hey, I just to get some of your opinions.  I have a cyclo but it does not play all the games.  I about to get my daughter a DS and just wanted to know which flash card works the best and is kid friendly once it is going.

Does the M3 DS Real work well?

Thx for your opinions!!

PS

Where is the cheapest place to buy them too. (in the US)

Cyclo will play everything, but they quit updating the software.

Go snag the latest SuperCard software.

I can not get Mario and Sonic to play.

I have both the M3 and R4 slot 1 cards...  The R4 is by far the better of the two as in build quality and updates.

They are on 1.22 official, and a 1.3BETA is out that adds real time save. My Cyclo has been on V1.22 since day one.

I have a CycloDS MiniSD.  Will the CycloDS Evolution Firmware work?

I've had i think 4 different flash cards so far, and the R4 is the card to have for the DS in my opinion.   The G6 Lite is my favorite GBA slot card, but for DS games, get an R4.

I second the R4 here. I'm playing mario and sonic at the olympics on it now!

I would say cyclods, but dang they are having serious problems with manufacturing and communication. I was able to get mine replaced thank goodness and the new one works fine...but I try not to take it out of the DS just in case. The long awaited black cyclos have been having reports of actually bricking peoples DS's! And of course now Team Cyclops is shutting down any threads on their forum that mention problems and/or their inability to timely deliver replacements, in the spirit of stopping misinformation of course.

It is sad too, because their card is really good.

Will this work on the Cyclo Mini/Micro?

No, that is for the evo DS card.

Having said that, if you are trying to play actual DS games on a mini/micro, that explains alot. You asked about an M3 DS Real, so I assumed you had a CycloDS Evo Slot 1 card. A mini/micro is a slot 2 card and will not play DS games.

It plays some.  I think the limitation is 34 mb and below.  This sucks.  Well I guess I will be in the market for a new card for myself too!

Thx!!

Incorrect.  It will play .nds files if you are using a PassMe or have flashed the BIOS.

Neither of which he stated he had or had done.
