Title: restore XP to previous date?
Post by: squirrellydw on February 05, 2008, 10:34:19 am
Has anyone done this and does it work well?  What do I need to do if I want to do it, I would like to role it back about 2 weeks

If it is turned on, you can just click Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->System Restore and pick the date you want to roll back to. I have done that a couple of times and it worked out well.

I believe it only changes the Windows directories and possibly your my documents directory. Not sure on that though. I have used it when I installed something that updated a DLL file I didn't want updated. It rolled back to the previous version but didn't remove the directory that the program was installed in so...

Depending on what you want to accomplish, it should work well.

Well I was trying to get my stalla adapter to work and when I plugged it in it reconfigured my u360s.  So now I have to reconfigure all my games to use the correct joystick again and I was hoping this might fix it.

That could be hit or miss. Probably wouldn't hurt to try but...that is up to you.
