Picked up an older ELO TouchMonitor yesterday and am trying to find schematics and whatnot for it. Acts like a capacitor issue. The vertical is a bit squished, the horizontal is tapered at the top and it's jumpy from about midway down. (jumps vertically)
Otherwise the image is crystal clear.
I don't have an ESR meter, so I'd just be guessing where to start on this thing. (first time opening one of these)
Obviously ELO didn't make the monitor itself, they just added their touchscreen stuff to it and slapped their label on it. I glanced at some of the chassis boards inside and they seem to have Sony all over the place. But I haven't really dug into it yet.
I found a manual for the serial/touchscreen stuff..... but not the monitor chassis itself.
Anyone got any pointers or experience with these?
ELO IntelliTouch TouchMonitor
Model No. # P284-20E03-S
Serial Controller # E281-2310

i assume this is a crt monitor , thus check the boost cap on the vert output ic .
should be 100-300uF @ 25-50v . the diode can be a fault as well.
inspect all 'lytics for doming or signs of leakage - replace as needed..
pse post the sony ref #'s and may be able to obtain some info - ?

Thanks qrz for the response...... yes this is a 20" CRT monitor with the touchscreen.
Poked around with it for a minute and am pretty sure it's a Sony GDM20E03 (FCCID=AK8GDM20E03).
I crossed referenced a bunch of numbers that I found and it all boiled down to this chassis.
But still haven't found schematics or anything much for it.
Did find a tidbit of info that may point to an IC007 (CXA1908S).
And also possibly caps on what they are calling the "N" board near the flyback.
Does any of this ring a bell with any info you may have?

somewhere in this mess i have a sony manual.... if i can find it and be the one you need, is the question .
the cxa1908s is not coming up on search - may be disc ?
however, the cxa1907s is listed and appears to be a video processor....
will try to locate that disc over the next few days .....

Thanks again for taking the time to look into this.....
I couldn't find a datasheet for that particular IC either. (CXA1908S)
But it's apparently Sony p/n# 8-752-076-34.
(if that helps bring anything up)
I'm gonna take my time poking around this monitor, so not in a real big hurry.

ummmm, you DON'T want that ic to be faulty....
a quick search on a site i use for reference, lists it at $87.80 OUCH !!!!!!!
and still searching for that disc :-[

Yeah, I was doing some search ing for that IC and found anywhere from $17.99 to $169 !!
One that I found on ebay of all places..... http://tinyurl.com/2xyabj (http://tinyurl.com/2xyabj)
From what I have read, it seems that these may or may not need to be programed after being installed. Something to do with "DAS" software. (?)
Worse case scenario..... I'll find a working standard 20" trinitron and swap the touchscreen out. I've seen a few just browsing the local ads and craigslist.
