Title: Colour problem with vertical mount CRT
Post by: Steven633 on February 02, 2008, 08:25:49 am
Whenever I put my monitor on its side the colours distort, everything goes a shade of purple with green bit in one area also.

The monitor is an old recon job.

Am I right in saying that vertical mount is not really that good an idea on a CRT? or is my monitor the exception? I know this is a long shot, but is there any way to correct this?

thats just gaussing,if you intend to keep turning the monitor then it may be worthwhile investing in a manual degauss wand

the crt is merely reacting to the relative shift of planetary magnetic field . it is NOT defective .
as per grantspain - do a manual deguass, or give the internal deguassing a few tries...... ;)
