Hello, I would like to show the attract videos where the snap shots would normally go.
Check out this video it was probably made from a member from here.
Thanks

I found this on another page:
Using MALA v1.04 in this arcade cabinet. I didn't want a layout with a spot for videos and another for snapshots. I wanted it to show screenshots as the selection moves through the list but show videos only when I stop. The way this was done was using MALA's layout editor to have the area for snapshots and videos to take up the same space but put the videos in Z-order on "top". Then in the MALA config, add a 1200ms pause so that the videos show only if you stop and pause.
I have never used the Mala Editor, but I think that's the way to do it

Thanks, I will make some new layouts tonight but one thing that I don't think I understand is when you say Z order I get the have the video space on top of the snap space and put the pause in not sure about the Z order though?

In the layout editor click Objects and then Z-Order. Looks like if it is lower in the list it will be in the front. Just make sure the Video is lower than the Snap
(of course I can't test at work so maybe it's higher ;) )
I am going to be messing around with it as well - If you figure out where to put the pause in the config post it here.

The delay is under Gui then Options tap check the box that says"Enable video display delay" then set at 1200ms
And thanks for your help on this I got it working.
only prob. now is all the videos arent being recognized by the codec or even WMP.
So now I don't know if I have to reencode them or what to do.. ???

Due to mysteries of the universe, it matters not about Z order for videos. They will only be on top no matter what.
Don't re-encode the videos, they work fine in MaLa - it's your system. Do a search on MaLa xvid and you'll turn up heaps on videos not working, and what you can do about it.
In MaLa "Options » GUI » Options » Display Delay (scrolling)" set exceptions to snap and you'll have that snap in place while you scroll, and then the video when you stop.

Correct. A limitation of the video plug that MaLa uses
