I've noticed over the past couple of weeks more and more posters with less than 50 posts. They're asking a lot of questions that indicate these members aren't lurkers that finally decided to speak up - they want "cheap or free Star Wars yoke" or "where do I find an empty cab". Guys new to the hobby as well as the forum.
This isn't a complaint or criticism - just an observation. Did the site get Dugg or get some type of mainstream coverage recently?
-
Perhaps that series of video on systm (Can't remember the exact website) that detailed how to build a MAME cab?
-
I'm standing on street corners with a sign. Seriously though, if you look at the stats (http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php?action=stats) it's fairly consistent as far as new users goes.

That didn't work out so well for you in Die Hard III.

January seems to be a pretty popular month for new members.
Guys with not much to do, trying to stay off the booze after the excess of Christmas, may contribute.
I find myself online more as I try to pay off my credit card bill, I suppose thats why I ended up on here.... now I've got an even bigger card bill after seeing these cabs and shelling out on MDF, router, 2nd hand monitor, PIII desktop, MDF Primer, Happ controls, new drill bits.... I could go on and on you know......

It seems like there are more new members (or at least those with a post count under 50, or so) than usual to me, as well. The more, the merrier, I suppose. Just don't sully up the joint! ;)

I thought I was going to come in under Chad's 50 post limit, but I was sorely mistaken. 55 before posting this one.
I've been registered for over three years; I'm just too damn lazy to post.
... and yet I responded to this one, of all things. :dunno

Are the little people bothering you again?

I think chad is worried new members might bring someone who will someday get a higher post count then him.
-
It's just the man trying to oppress you again, Chad. Fight the newbies!!
(I just had to use that one again. I saw it sitting in my pics bin and felt the urge. ;D)
-
Is that a pic of chad from his youth?
-
Yes. I used to be black. Very black. Purple.
-
Purple?
-
You would understand if you had ever been black.
