Any ideas/examples on how to do this? theCoder sent me the thing in the first picture. All you do is plug it in and the LEDs blink on and off slowly - it's a very cool effect. Last night I went to install it thinking it would take all of 10 minutes but I sat there staring at the inside of my coin door for 30 minutes and I couldn't decide how to do it. The second picture shows what I'm working with. I installed a microswitch behind the Player 2 coin return button to make it act as an "insert coin" button so that's something to consider as well.
Do I drill a small hole in the yellow plastic and slip the LED inside? Do I just try to tape it in place from behind? Any other ideas? Obviously I want the light to be as evenly distributed as possible.

I'd install the LEDs how they are suppose to and rework your insert credit mechanism.

Or visit the Happ site for exploded views of the coin doors.
Ask Divemaster for part 42-0351-00D. Then buy the triple cluster LED wedge from him that fits the connector. They give off a nice bright light to illuminate and have a built in resistor so you won't blow them up.

It's way too late to rethink my credit mechanism - Gorilla Glue is kind of permanent! Also, I am definitely going to use the lighting thingamajig that theCoder made for me. I like how the lights blink and they are very bright. Plus, LEDs should last much longer. I'm really just looking for ideas on how to mount what I've already got.

heh, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it... I'm sure there's some sort of Gorilla Glue solvent out there and worst case scenario I can always take a little Japanese handsaw to the wood shim. :cheers:

Why not try taping it to the back with a piece of aluminum foil in between the tape to help reflect lost light? Just make sure the tape is strong.

I'll give this a shot... I was hoping there was some obvious method I was overlooking but I guess not!
