Title: hacking an analogue stick

i want to find some info on hacking an offical psx dual shock controller so i can us an 8 way stick on it thanks

you definitely are lost... but i'm sure there's hope for you...

You can't really do anything with the analog ( -- well one *could* wire up an analog control I guess... but haven't seen it done to often on console/cabinet conversions)... but you should be able to solder up the contacts from the gamepad to correspond to arcade joysticks (which are "digital" in nature)...

have you visited the console section of this site, yet? (http://www.arcadecontrols.com/arcade_consoles.shtml)  it should be you on the right track...
