Title: South Park episode inspired by King of Kong
Post by: RayB on January 27, 2008, 01:37:35 pm
I just saw the South Park episode "More Crap". You can tell it's based off of "King of Kong". They also rip off the BBS show "Little Britain" with one bit near the end. Kinda disappointed they'd do that. But whatever!

They spoof movies and TV shows quite often. Why is that disappointing?

They weren't spoofing Little Britain, they stole a "bit" from it.

but whatever.

Oh ok.

Just saw the episode. Indeed has a bit of a King of Kong feel to it. I didn't get the ending though. Even for that show it was a tad too far fetched.

Yeah, it was definitely inspired by King of Kong.  I liked how it was a group of grown men obsessed with giant piles of ---Cleveland steamer---, which is more or less what I think about Donkey Kong scores.

The judge guy was a complete ripoff of Walter, but not nearly creepy enough.

I see I wasn't the only one who was creeped out by the empty barn with candles, and the odd guitar serenade in KoK. :laugh2:
