This looks like quite possibly one of the coolest things ever. Its like a racing game, mixed with a puzzle game, mixed with Guitar Hero, all set to your music collection!!
Has anyone tried this?? Only betas (with time limits I think) have been released.
If this has re-mappable controls its pretty much gold IMO. Almost worthy of its own cab.

Oh, and I am not affiliated with this at all and this is not meant to be spam. As Paulie Walnuts would say, "Hand to F-in God, Tone'"

Looks interesting. Would be more interesting if you could try the bloody thing!

Looks a bit like an amplitude/frequency clone. You can download it here (http://www.fileshack.com/file.x/11638/Audiosurf)

Good news and bad news. Great game, horrible for cabs.
Mouse required for menu options, and it looks like INTERNET access is required for a horribly dumb "high scores" feature. UGH.
Oh well, hopefully someone does a freeware clone. It's a great concept.
ADDED:
HA. And the demo expires after using one song. Choose carefully.

Sorry to dig up an old topic but I discovered this game today and it's pretty durn cool. I'm playing it with the most bizarre musical choices and it hasn't ceased to amuse me.
But the reason I'm also digging this up is because (a) the demo now allows you to play through five songs (three character choices) and (b) better still, it's only $2.49 when you purchase the full version through Steam. Definitely worth it.
Still horrible for cab use though. Oh well.

Hadn't heard of it until you dug this back up.
Just played with it a bit......seems pretty cool.
Since it needs mouse support, I wonder how well it would work with a touchscreen?
Would like to find something like ClickBeat that would utilize your own song list the way AudioSurf does.

digging this up again!
just heard about this game over the weekend, and spent more time tweaking it to fit my cab than i did playing it. anyways, it was totally worth it. i gave it its own menu screen in MaLa (which goes with a graphic explaining how to play it on my 2 player, 6 button each, no mouse setup).
so it took a graphic, using the autohotkey app "nomousy" (as opposed to my old invisible.cur), hacking together an Autohotkey script (based on the numpad-as-mouse script included with it).. and it's working great.
i'm using the top 3 P1 buttons for quickly moving between the 3 lanes (buttons 4 and 6 shift you to the shoulders, when there are any), and the stick left/right works as well... P2 stick & B1 & 2 are the mouse... which makes the 2 player mode work as well (steers good with the in-game mouse sensitivity turned way down).
i did buy it... but of course since my cab isn't even online, i had to use a pirated version for it :p shame it doesn't save local high scores. [ETA Correction: it saves the highest score per song, per difficulty. displayed only when you start the song]
brilliant game.
