I got a 4-port USB hub from Ultimarc with lots of other parts. But I dunno if there is something wrong with it or not. Basically I am currently trying to run a U360 with a Minipac on my desktop PC. My keyboard is a USB Logitech G11.
Now if I plug my hub in... in any USB socket... with just the U360 and the Minipac plugged in... it does not work. I can plug the hub into any port on my PC or into one of the two ports on the Logitech keyboard. Nada. Ultimarc software keeps saying that no U360 is plugged in even though it quite plainly is. The blue LED on the hub lights up and there is a power socket available but I wanted to run without needing an extra lead running to my controller.
However... if I plug my U360 and Minipac directly into my the two spare ports on my Logitech G11... voila! It works and the Ultimarc software instantly finds my U360. Is this normal?

If I read it correctly, you didn't plug in the power cable from the hub?
If that is the case, it's just the nature of the beast. Not to knock ultimarc, but it's probably a pretty cheap hub. They just can't supply enough power without it.

I didn't get a power clable with it. And I'm only running two items through it. Not like it's a lot of stuff.
Oh... and I'm sorry for posting in wrong forum. Wondered why I couldn't see it in Main. Meant to post it there. :P

I found that I had to try several USB hubs to get my GPWiz card to work...I even had one powered USB hub not work. A friend who had similar results with his IPAC, said he even had different results depending on which port the card was plugged into on the same hub
