Title: Outzone - 1990 Style Cab is Born
Post by: Steven633 on January 23, 2008, 06:41:21 pm
Right guys, started my 1st project today. Spent the morning turning spare room into temp workshop, then in the afternoon made a start with MDF and buttons. Great feeling when you actually screw in that first button and give it a few clicks ;D

Panel as shown is not complete as I am going to sink the screws holding in the joysticks (don't have a countersink yet :-\)

My inspiration is an 'Outzone' cab which I played back in the early nineties at my local arcade. Nothing fancy, just a 2 player set-up with 2 buttons for each player (Fire+Bomb ;)). The only addition is the central white button I have added to act as a Pause button.

I already have a 19" CRT monitor which I will mount on its side. I will also load in some other vertical games as well as Outzone, such as 1942 etc

More Pics to follow...
