Is your sound card working? It could be a problem with your sound card drivers.

Have you installed the Mamewah system files?

Be sure you keep a consistent resolution, colour depth and refresh rate on all your emulators as you have on Mamewah. Dynamic resolution switching and high-demand graphics effects (interpolation etc. can cause errors when launching from Mamewah, particularly on low-spec PC's, in my experience.

Looks like either the soundcard is not DX compatible or it needs the drivers re-installing/updating.

I had this exact problem myself.  I pulled down the sound drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website, and this fixed my problem.

Thanks guys!

Minwah, you and your Mamewah rock.
