While I am still kicking myself in the face for NOT taking pics of what it looked like prior to restoration I have finished my Donkey Kong restoration. I would like to thank Neilyboy for giving me a few tips on this. Bascially the cab was badly dented especially on the top left side of the cab. I repainted all the metal trip including the coin door, wood puddied and sanded the sides of the cab, primed it, painted it, and also got the monitor caped. Put new side art, replaced the original CPO as well as the buttons, and restored the original arcade stick. This was my first project of this kind ever and I think it came out great. Let me know what you guys think.

The DK looks like it just rolled off the assembly line.
The mame machine next to it is screaming for a control panel though! ;D
Fantastic job!

Yeah your right it is. I just got another cab that I am going to put my mame machine in to and I plan on doing a custom control panel. I am probably going to make my older cab in to a dedicated MK2 cab with the original control panel layout since I have the PCB laying around.

Another fine example of what a great restoration should end up looking like!
This really makes me want to get started on my own Donkey Kong restoration. I'm still acquiring parts and pieces and waiting for winter to go the heck away.
