Title: My first crack at it.
Post by: BORIStheBLADE on January 21, 2008, 10:49:33 pm
So I've never messed with photoshop up until last week so be nice. This isn't complete I still have some text to put in for the top buttons.
The Ryu  picture I found on another site and liked it alot.
I basically created my layout on a black background then made another layer with the pattern you see. The next thing I did was create a inner glow in the initial CP layout and used a brush to give it the effect you see.

What do you think?

Heres a close up.

Does anyone know how I can get a larger image on here?

OK, i think its real unique but i kinda have mixed feelings on the whole honeycomb look. It may turn out if there is more artwork across the whole cp but by itself it looks kind of unfinished to me. If by larger image you mean a higher res picture that wont pixilate when printed large, I say just go to google images and search for ryu, ryu wallpapers, ryu vector art. There is a ton of art work out there.

I really didn't know what other pattern to do . What I  meant by large image was by making a larger image available for you guys to see. It probably could use more art, I just don't want a CP with too much art on it.

I liked how the "honeycomb" was working. Is your intention a SF style panel? What are your panels dimensions? are you going for a red to black motiff. Let me know as I would love to give u a hand. Gratis!

Well... I like the honey comb too but when I looked at the dimensions of them they were only .5" x.5". I would like something bigger like 1in x1in.
The reason why I have the street fighter art is because I grew up playing them in the arcade and I like alot of the art.
I was thinking about axing the halos and going with this around the buttons.

That looks awesome, just make sure the diameter will clear the "collar" on the button.

Uhh. I have those circles at 1.125. I think buttons are 1.25 right? Well it might be good to have a little overlap.

Very nice!  It reminds me of the artwork that the Band "Tool" used on their CD artwork.  (I'm having a brain fart right now and can't remember the actual CD it was used on.  I "think" it might have been Lateralus, but for some reason Undertow is really sticking out in my mind).

Still messing with this. I think I'm going to ditch the MAME logo so I don't have to explain to everyone and their mother what MAME is. Might go with this, just need to figure out what I'm going to do for a Marquee.
