Title: Another T-Molding question
Post by: mj147 on May 16, 2003, 03:15:41 pm
Sorry Im sure this topic has been covered before but I was unsuccesfull in finding it  :(

I just received my t molding and after test fitting it I noticed its a hair (literally) wider, using 3/4 T molding on  3/4 birtch ply. Is this common, if so do trim off the excess? On my  sega made cab the t molding is flush with the side, but doest look like it was trimmed.

Any help/advice would be appreciated

Is it overhang just on one side?
If so you didn't have the slot cutter centered.
If it overhangs on both sides I would tend to leave it , Unless your putting molding around your C-panel  then it might need to be trimmed.

Pretty sure they sell a device to fix this. You clamp it on both sides, and zip it up and down the t-molded rail. Think i've seen one on T-Molding.com
