Title: <News> - Working Mini Tempest Cabinet
Post by: saint on January 19, 2008, 12:14:24 am
I don't have the space for a full size arcade cabinet and the little paper ones just aren't enough for me. So I used the paper template and made a tiny wooden cabinet... (http://arcadecontrols.com/arcade_main.php#2610)

Sweet! Can you actually play it? You need to sit something beside it in the vid for size reference. And give us some build details! What did ya use for a monitor? Is that a pocket PC or what?

It appears to be playing a looping animation. I wish the guy would post actual information instead of trying to deceive us.....  :dunno

That is just running an animation as you say, it might be a small screen hooked up to a computer that is out of view... There is little information really.

Looks more like he shoved a cell phone or an MP3 player up it's skirt and is running a video clip.   :)

Especially since there's no sign of any controls on this "working" game....

Exactly my thought. He does note the cabinet is smaller than any Pocket PC and he thought about using PocketMAME.

Without any sort of explanation in its construction, it's kind of hard to be interested. Call me when you can shove miniature quarters in that thing and spin the spinner.
