Title: MS Agent MAME Charater
Post by: DinoRoger on May 16, 2003, 12:33:08 pm
Some of my software and front end will be using text to speech and the MS Agent character.  Looking on the web I cannot find a good game related agent character to use.  Currently I am using a green gremlin called "Squidge".  Does anyone know of a free character that might relate to a MAME theme better or anyone interested in designing one?  Thanks in advance.

i used ms agent for a long time for speech in my fe. I mainly used a dummy character because I only wanted to use the speech. But for fun I did made some Galaxian characters...if you want I can try to dig them up...but there is a good change I lost them because I have not used them in years...

Di you find a way to hide the character but still use the speech?  I can hide the message box but in order to use speak the char must be visiable.  If you could find the agent and send me a URL that would be great.

if you want the dummy without the avatar no problem I still have that one...I only recently changed the speech engine to not use ms agent anymore...if you use a dummy like this one no character will popup...

Looks like its either me or your server hates me.  Eveytime I try to download I get a pic of a N64 2 USB adapter plug and some info about that???  If your on a Unix/Linux web server capitalization matters.

Could you setup the app to where you launch it with a string as a command line option and it simply launches, says it and then exits?  I love the idea but I hate wasting resources on a resident program.  :)

Keep up the good work.

The app uses less than 1% CPU usage when in a game.  It actualy registers as 0% 90% of the time. I will put a disclaimer that states 386+ recommended.  ;D
