One of my co-workers made this Sinistar cake for my birthday party. I just gave her the Sinistar gif and she went from there.

Great cake.
Almost too good to eat.
If you had a lot of co-workers to feed, did you manage to divide the cake up into 49 pieces ?? ;D
-
Thats a INCREDIBLE cake
Your friend must be quite the artist!

The toppings are made of some crusty edible material which keeps indefinitely. I will save the decorations and assemble them in a clear plastic display case after I divide up the cake.

Fondant perhaps?

Fondant
That stuff tastes like crap, but really does make cakes look awesome.

Well.... did the cake taste as good as it looks?

Don't know yet. Party's tomorrow... I will let you know.

It's definitely rolled fondant or some variation on that.
I've been known to put similar cakes together on occasion. I've got to do an 18" tall R2-D2 for a friend's wedding coming up soon.
If anyone's near Denver and wants something done, I've been aching to find a reason to do a gaming-related cake (or anything else, for that matter). Drop me a PM.

Friends shouldn't let friends have an R2-D2 cake for their wedding. :'(

An R2-D2 cake for a wedding sounds awesome!

I'm with as, er, saint on this one. Unfortunately, groom's cakes weren't in vogue when I got hitched, or I would -so- have had a Pac-Man cake.

Hi ArtMame,
Your thread has just been dug up after 2 years. I'll say it again, that cake was one of a kind.
Hey, your birthday was just a few weeks ago. That's your birthday two years on ... time flies, eh ?
Did you score a fancy cake this time around ? 8)

Yep, tempus fugit...
Just a Publix cake for me this year... much less expensive.
The lady who made the Sinistar Cake moved to Colorado a year ago. She is probably running a cake business out there.
