Title: A question for owners of Gamecab's flight yoke.
Post by: Paul Olson on January 17, 2008, 07:06:08 pm
Hi, I bought one of these on ebay a while back and I am finally ready to work on installing it. Does anyone have any installation instructions? None came with the unit and I can't find anything on Gamecab's site. I can tear into it to find where the wires are coming from if I have to, but I figured I would try to find out here first.

Thanks,
Paul

I don't know much about these, but I checked out there site a bit.

Does it not have a harness and connector on it?
The support page makes it sound like it should just plug into the Joystick/Gamepad Port.

That was a separate addon product to be able to hook it directly to a gameport. My unit actually has the cable, but I need to hook this up to my AKI board instead. I have a modular panel and the gameport would not work well for me. If anyone who has one of these needs the cable let me know, I will not be keeping it.

Thanks for looking into it Kevin. It seems that the documentation never made it on the site before he stopped making these.

Yeah, I saw the tid-bit about using  the AKI Interface Connection on the last update...... but nothing after that or any support for it. I guess they only made like ten of these before they quit taking pre-orders for any more.

So from the sounds of it...... yours just has a short harness coming straight off the potentiometers?
