Title: Where to get arcade games legally
Post by: CGRemakes on May 16, 2003, 01:15:37 am
I was wondering which software packages are the best to get authentic classic games?  I have found a few such as the Atari Classic Hit series that have some pretty good remakes, but I was wondering if there are any others.  I would like to get like Williams Arcade Classics that are actual ROMs, but unfortunately I haven't been able to locate that one.  There are many excellent remakes of the classics (which I've tried to compile on my website), but many of the best games don't have a remake that I know of (Robotron,  Bubble Bobble, Dig-Dug, Mario Bros., etc.)  I know ROMs can be downloaded online, but I'm trying to keep everthing on my machine as legal as possible.  I also don't particularly want to purchase the Hot Rod arcade stick at $200 (though a very good product) to get some legal ROMs.
