Title: How to repair a corrupted MP3 file
Post by: Cadder on January 17, 2008, 08:53:50 am
I have one particular .MP3 file (one that I know of, anyway) which consistently crashes DWjukebox.

The kicker is, it plays all the way through, THEN crashes.
DWJ shows its runtime as 3:41 but when playing goes to 3:42 then falls over. Winamp (which plays it correctly) shows the total time as 3:42, so I'm hazarding a guess there's something awry with the part of the header that describes the runtime. (Not being at all familiar with how MP3s are encoded...)

Can anyone recommend to me a program/method that I can check/fix/repair dodgy MP3 files/headers?

Can you send me the file at celamantia@gmail.com so I can make sure that it's not a bug in DWJukebox?

Thanks!
