Title: installing mame0122s for the first time...HELP!!!!!

Good mornings folks,

i d/l mame122s (latest vers) yesterday and then tried to install it but it did not work. I tried d/l both the exe file and the 7z file. tried both and they are both giving me the same problem. The file d/l's no problem but then when you extract it it does not create a exe file to be able to execute the program.

Can some one shine some light on the situation?

My goal is to setup mame with mala as FE.

Did you download "MAME 0.122 Windows command-line binaries"? (6625 KB)

I have just tried it and it is fine. Amongst other files, in the root of your extraction file, there should be mame.exe. Because you mention Mala, I assume that you are aware this is the command-line version?

You are downloading the source code.  You need to download the binary release.

ok...

thank you very much...i just check again and i guess i over looked that binary d/l aera at the bottom...i guess i got excited when i saw mame latest version....

i will try that tonight and see...thanks guys great appreciated  :notworthy:
