Hello all. I've been reading the boards for quite a while, but just bought my first arcade, so now I've got some issues.
I just bought a Bad Dudes working arcade cabinet. I am planning on turning it into a MAME box, but until I get time I would like to play it as is.
Everything boots up fine, and I get a good picture, but the image is scrolling vertically. I have searched, but have not come up with any good results. I'm sure I am not the first one to have this problem. The previous owner said if you adjust the pots it will slow down, but as soon as you think you have a stable picture it will start spinning the other way. I have not had time to screw with it yet, but wanted to get some opinions on here first!
Any suggestions? Is it worth ordering a Cap Kit and doing that repair first?

If you have not done a capkit on this monitor it certainly needs it. Bad parts are not going to be able to work properly!

Is there one place that is better to order parts from than another?

Couple of points-
G07 was produced like 20 years ago. So yes... all the electrolytic caps are likely drying up. I am not a big fan of cap kits... seems to me like selling your car because it has a slow leak in the front drivers tire- fix the leak.
Having said that, if you have a slow leak in two tires, re-seal them all...
BUT... no vertical sync, honestly my guess is that it is not getting the vertical sync pulse... is this game separate sync?
Count the signal wires from the game if 6 wires separate sync, 5 wires composite sync.
Check the wires, check for broken conmections.
let me know how you make out??
