Title: Target Golden Tee plug-n-play: $10 clearance
Post by: bigh4th on January 14, 2008, 07:35:00 am
Just an FYI to anyone who has been looking for them for a trackball hack.  The local Target had about 8 of them left at clearance for $10.00

Not a commercial trackball at all, but it should be perfect for home use.

If you live in the United States, you can probably find one in any large city.  However, I'm assuming you don't live in the states.

here's a link to the golden tee on targets website: Why do I use the URL tag when I just copy the URL and make it longer anyway? (http://www.target.com/Radica-PTV-Golden-Tee-Game/dp/B000EYF7YQ/qid=1200317653/ref=br_1_6/602-9307244-0227819?ie=UTF8&node=364960011&frombrowse=1&rh=&page=1)

for some reason, their site lists them for $24.00, but I picked one up last night for $10.

who knows?

Just found this old thread where it gives the pinout for the trackball so you can use a mouse hack with it.

£9.99

I just binned mine a couple of weeks ago.

Don't bother with it as its  :censored: .

Better getting one of those marble track balls that logitech sells for £20.  Unless you like abusing your fingers...

Target you say?  Saw the same ones in JCPenny before Christmas.

Had a good laugh too thinking how  :censored: they are.

You know something, I went to Frys to get a ball mouse (my optical mice do not play will with Counter Strike) and checked the entire store and they don't sell them anymore.  Everything was optical or laser.

Had to go to the 99c store for one.  :laugh2:

Oh while I was looking in Frys gaming department they have some lightguns that was not LCD TopGuns or Act Labs.  They were something else and looked small.  Nothing on Outpost.com - anyone seen them before?

I wonder if they had a bad batch of the golden tees or something.   Like I said above, its not a Happs trackball at all (doesn't spin quite as freely), but its more than adequate for home use.  However, I am trying to figure out a way to make the GT trackball spin more freely.

That said, it spins much more freely than those Logitech trackball mice.  My aunt has one and I absolutely hate it when I use her computer.

As soon as I saw this post I went to the Cupertino, Ca Target and bought one of their two. I happened to be in the Morgan Hill, Ca target where they had at least 3 on the shelf.

Keep trying Targets and you'll find one.

Where do you consider central VA? I'm in Southside (around Martinsville), myself.

I went to Frys the other night and located these lightguns - they were not lightguns but a conroller for FPS games that act like a mouse but shaped as a gun.  They are $19.99 but I could not find a use for them in a cabinet.

I live in Dinwiddie, which i guess may be considered south-central.  Its 30 miles south of Richmond.
