Title: Logic probes how do they work

Hi guys,

Got given a logic probe and a few other tools for testing boards from a guy my dad knows but only problem i don't have any tech know how, I was just wondering if anyone could tell me how to use a logic probe and what can you test with them i take it ic's and cpu chips?

I have a dk and mario board i would like to get working so any advice would be great  :)

I was going to suggest Randy Fromm, but as I recall that wasn't working out for you.

There are some good resources in the Restoration (http://wiki.arcadecontrols.com/wiki/Restoration) section of the wiki, but much of the board repair stuff is buried at places like ArcArc or Ionpool and may take some digging.

I don't have my copy handy, but I think that Atari's The Book talks about using logic probes (and is a good thing to have in any case). There are scans of it available out there.

Thanks for all your help guys, And yep still waiting on that dvd and now have a problem with the 3rd monitor repair dvd not playing  :dunno
