Title: this says it all.......?
Post by: qrz on January 10, 2008, 10:18:42 pm
hopefully this will not offend anyone. but, i find it too amusing not to pass along.....

this speaks a lot about the quality of Chinese products and their standards.
They're still laughing about this at Philips.
Apparently, the consumer electronics giant decided to have some parts manufactured in China as a trial project .
In the specifications, Philips stated  they would only accept 3 defective parts per 10,000.
When the delivery came , there was an accompaning letter.
it said , " We Chinese had a hard time understanding North American business practices.
But, the three defective parts per 10,000 have been seperately manufactured and have been included
in the consignment. Hope this pleases you."

true.      however , a division ....  NAP ( North American Philips) has been around for many years .

and i am sure it IS a joke  ;)  bear in mind,  it was posted on a TV tech board .

far too much cheap junk from China as it is....
and a lot of bogus (counterfit) electronic parts are now appearing at many part distributors.
