Hey
I am thinking of getting a new cabinet for mame however dont have all that much time to build it. I was considering getting one made...basically i want it to have installed monitor and be ready to plug into a computer...... just wondering if anyone in my area makes em and the cost?
I am near Hamilton, ONT.I am thinking its likely much cheaper for me to make one again.

Definitely cheaper to build your own unless you get lucky on ebay or something, but then it's pot luck finding someone who's got one emptied to your spec - ie no PC. We offer custom builds in the UK, but I don't know of any in the US.

Hey
Yea I have built a few in the past so its not an issue... I just thought it would be easier to buy one made...however like you said its tough to get a fair price matching the specs I am after.
thx

Oi, D-S ... the next SB auction (west-end of TO) is on the 19th ... you might want to drop by and see if you can snatch a JAMMA cab cheap. I've been debating going, but probably will, at least for a little while.

There are often some that size at the auction. Usually converted to JAMMA. All you'd need is a JPAC and video card that outputs 15khz for your PC

I will be attending the Starburst Coin Machines inc. auction. My first time going, it'll be interesting, viewing starts at 9:30 am and the bidding starts at 11:30 am. I was told from a person that works there (Forgot his name), he said you could probably find a stripped cabinet for 25 dollars. Anyway, you need a $200 deposit to bid, have cash ready.

And, once again, the rumours are flying that this may be the last auction for quite a while ... but that one has been cropping up a lot lately.
