Hello
Since my wife my not allow a full arcade I was considering a pedestal hooked up to a lcd tv....then i can move the pedestal..looking for something solid yet compact or compactable....has anyone tried this or seen plans?
thx

Instead of a pedestal, I'd build a big square box and put her in it. ;D
I want to build some kind of base for my bartop. All I wanted was a game I could set on a desk and play, then when I built it, I wanted it so I could stand at it like a "real" game.

Hey.,
Yea I have thought about an arcade in a box as well..I may go that route...however I want something that I can stand up and play as if it is a real game...some kind retractable legs or something..... after speaking with the Mrs. she is now saying its ok to build a mame cabinet again..however..i do think that the direct to 40" lcd would be kool.. decisions, decisions.
thx

I suggested the same thing to my friend but he hasn't pulled the trigger yet. I did find showcase plans on http://www.jakobud.com/ (http://www.jakobud.com/) look for 34" Dynamo showcase. I was thinking you could just build the pedestal portion and put some tilt wheels on it so you can wheel it out of the way when you weren't playing.

Hey
for some reason the link on the site is dead... :( I am actually debating whether or not I should make a cabinet instead of pedestal. Wife is ok with this now! she actually likes the look of the mahogany stained cades.... need to find some of those on here. Kenievel made a sweet as one...
thx
