I've recently got the video of my DK 2-board going and all the graphics look fine. I am however missing music and at least one analog sound sample (as well as all the digital music). I've read that a certain chip (Eprom at location 3F) might need to be replaced. I want to get replacement chips for 3F and 3H (music) eproms. I have a dkong rom .zip but I can't decipher which file name goes where. Where should I go to get replacement eproms?
Also in the process of diagnosing this board I found the eprom at 3H and the music cpu at 7H were both in backwards. Could this kill either chip (and consequently chip 3F since it's in the same circuit)?

Consider any chips plugged in backwards to be junk. Any backwards eproms are without a doubt toast, If the cpu was backwards it's likely smoked as well.
Backwards eproms or cpu shouldn't damage other chips, so I'd start with what you know to be a problem. Replace any chip that was installed the wrong way and go from there.
The remaining eproms you can check if you can get your hands on an eprom programmer.
For the eproms that were in backwards and the ones you suspect might be an issue, drop Stephan at www.hobbyroms.com an email (assuming you don't have access to a burner). He runs a great service and will hook you up with whatever you need for programmed roms.

Yup, you need a new 8035 or 8048 (Sound CPU) and a new 2732 for 3H.

The sound CPU is a NEC D8035LC. Is this the right one?

Where can I find one?
edit: Nevermind. I got one on ebay. :)
I also emailed hobbyroms. Thanks!

The CPU came in first so I plugged it in. It WORKS!! As far as I can tell all the sounds are there. Somehow that 3H chip survived being in backwards. Guess I'll save the new Eproms I ordered as backups.
Thanks, guys.
