I have an old pac-man machine in ok shape with a arcade monitor with some major problems. Instead of repairing/replacing it, can I somehow use a pc monitor instead. I'm a newb so please be kind. I've been browsing the forums for months, gonna build a mame cab this summer so I'm researching, but I figure I ask about the pac-man machine.
Thanks

the pac man board will output a 15khz signal frequency(low res/cga)
a pc monitor will be expecting 31khz signal(hi res/vga) so the only way to get your pac man working on a pc monitor is to use a frequency converter like this (the first one)

or of course you can get your monitor repaired
or if you are in europe you can use a standard tv that has a scart input

Thanks, I was hoping for some kind of poor mans hack. Oh well.
