Hi all, I am selling a custom-made replica of an Atari arcade cabinet. This style was used for games like Return of the Jedi, I-Robot, Major Havoc and Firefox. It is made with black laminated melamine and plywood. The cabinet is open on the top and back to minimize weight. It is also smaller than the original. I had a 19" pc monitor in it. It has a shelf to hold a pc or other fun stuff. The front has plexiglass and a wood frame that is easily removable for transport.
It does not include the control panel or coin door.
This is for local pick-up only in the Chicagoland area. We're moving so we need to clean out our garage. I also have Suzuka 8 Hours game parts for sale.
Thanks for looking!

Damn, I would so buy that and drop Major Havoc in if it were local.

deliver to S.E. Michigan?
J\k
Nice looking cab.

Thanks Hoagie_one. I wish I could deliver it--MI's not too far. Feel free to come on down :)

Where in Chicagoland are you located?

Nice looking cab (at a bloody wonderful price) ... I wish my folks still lived in Chi-town ... or that I would be driving down there sometime soon ...

Hi, I'm in the northwest suburbs -- Lake Zurich (the southmost part), a few miles north Arlington Heights and Palatine.
-
I'd be down if gas was a bit cheaper... unfortunately to drive my boxy jeep (http://www.cherryhilltriplex.com/franchises/cherry_hill_jeep/images/commander.jpg) to Chicago it would cost 10 times that price... ugh

Too bad your getting rid of it, great job on it. Too far for me.
-
Yeah, I wish you guys were closer :)

Second Chad's post.
Where did you get the dimensions? Any plans you'd be willing to give up?

What size is that monitor, and what kind is it?

Hi Havok, we (my friend and I) did not get the actual dimensions from the original cabinet--we guestimated what certain dimensions were. I remember using the coin door to estimate some sizes. Since we had the same coin door, we used pictures of the original as a guide to size other pieces. For example, if the coin door's width was 1/2 the width of the board of which the door is installed into, we'd double that particular part's width. Hope I'm making sense!
As for sharing dimensions, I'd be more than happy to. You'd just have to give me some time since it's hard to get access to the cab--it's surrounded by stuff (we're movin').

Hi Ummon, I had two different monitors in it. The one in the pic is a 17" flat emachine pc svga and I used to have a 19" svga (non-flat). I changed to the 17" because it fit the bezel better.
On the subject, I'm sorry, but I am not including the monitor. Not sure if I wrote that earlier :)

NEW PRICE! Take it off my hands ;)

That's a nicely built cabinet! I have a Jedi cab, and I've never seen the style duplicated so well from scratch. Hopefully someone local will snatch this one up.

If anyone is interested in buying this cabinet, I have a Return of the jedi control panel (no yoke), which is missing the decal on one side that I would sell for $10+ cost of shipping. In good shape, with just 1 minor ding.
Here are some pics:
