Title: What setup for CP do you suggest??

Hi all.. Noob Supreme here.

I am not sure if this is the right topic line to post in, but I'm trying to decide what boards to 'hack' or encoder-controll via PC input is best (both in value $ and ease of setup) for the following CP:

2: Rotary Joysticks
22: Button setup
1: Spinner

I know there is alot of options to be found in the world, but maybe you folks can help me thin out the possible combos.

22 buttons?  Are you counting UP/DOWN/LEFT/RIGHT as buttons?
