I just noticed this (http://cgi.ebay.com/Complete-US-Sega-Dreamcast-collection-247-game-lot-%20NR_W0QQitemZ290187287907QQihZ019QQcategoryZ31583QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem). It went for nearly $1900. Photos are inspiring. :)

Super nice!!! But I am not sure I would ever pay that much for anything game related.  Well unless it was a full motion simulator!!!  But it is a score!!

Only 247?  Thought there were more....Also, Samba di Amigo with no controllers?  and no fishing rod.  That controller rules.

Nice collection... Although, maybe he's keeping the Bleemcast! games and Samba maracas for himself. ;)

Although, after putting together my collection (230 US and about 50 JAP), I would hate to part ways with it.  My grandkids will want to know how we used to play games with controllers and joysticks...

As for the lack of arcade stick in that auction, maybe he was smart and just connected the 'Cast to a cabinet.  That's the way to go...

I'm interested in how much HE paid for all that.

Dreamcast stuff was practically free the last few months that Gamestop carried it... I know a few people who put together quite extensive Dreamcast collections that way.  It won't get you everything, of course, but it was easy to wait on the buy 2 get 1 sale and then hit every Gamestop in the area for their blowout DC prices.

I never bought many games that way but I did stock up on accessories quite a bit... light guns, VMUs, controllers, etc.  The VMUs especially were like $1 each at the end.

BTW, that time has been now for the N64 and is just about ending... the store nearest me still has tons of N64 power supplies for $2 each but has moved all of the other N64 stuff to some other store.

Besides Soul Calibur I'm not sure there was a single game on that system that impressed me any.  :/

That suprises me. There are lots of titles that I absolutely love on the Dreamcast (and I'll make a list if you'd like). I'm particularly noticing that right now because I'm playing with the Gamecube for the first time and it's really dawning on me (yet again) how great the Dreamcast was.

I mean, jeez... even as late as November 2006 gems like Trigger Heart Exelica were popping up. I think the Dreamcast, in the end, was really something special. That's very different than how I felt at launch.
