If you want a metal DDR pad - Cobalt flux is the way to go

I bought this for my kids one year ago and it is still going strong. It can be hooked to Xbox, PS and PC. No problems with it at all. Red Octane brand was highly recommended at the time of my purchase.

We have a Cobalt Flux. Pricey, but it will last a long time.

Yeah, Can't really argue with Red Octane products either.
I've had a pair of their Ignition hard-pads for a long time and they're still great. Never got around to getting Metal pads for home, but I heard good things about the ones they made.
I know my Red Octane Playstation 2 -> USB adapter rocks too
