Title: Turbocad to photoshop question
Post by: sealslayer on December 19, 2007, 05:46:03 pm
I need to open a turbocad file in photoshop so I can create some artwork, If I save it as bitmap it only stays the same size as the image on the screen, I need it to be very large so I can work at 300 dpi.
The shape in the file is rather complex so trying to recreate it in photoshop would be really hard.

Any idea if there is another program that I could use to open or convert it to a file that photoshop can open?

Can you export the file as a .dwg or .dxf from Turbocad? Maybe you could even export a .pdf file (or maybe 'print' to a pdf-file)

These are all files that photoshoop can work with. If you have CS2 or CS3 you can even put complex vectors in a special layer so you can always scale your psd-image without losing quality to your imported graphics.

You might wanna try Adobe Illustrator as a go-between here.
