Title: Do all (old) arcade monitors have the same connector ?
Post by: Level42 on December 19, 2007, 02:54:56 pm
I want to make a universal test cable for my test monitor. (A Philips CM8524 = Commodore 1084). So I wondered if there is a "standard" in the connectors that normally come from the game harness. I bet the Nintendo stuff is different, but how about the others. And if the connectors are the same, is the pin-out the same ?

Thanks.

Most of them are very similar.  But I'd make different connectors swappable with a Molex.  That or have each wire with an alligator clip, that way it'd be universal.
