Title: Replacing Operation Wolf Monitor
Post by: Hudson187 on December 19, 2007, 12:51:03 pm
Hey guys. I just purchased a new monitor from Wells Gardner to replace my current stock operation wolf monitor (has issues, colors displaying wrong). Is there anything I should know before doing this? I know not to touch the anode cup and wire. Any other suggestions? Has anyone else replaced the monitor from a Operation Wolf game?

are you replacing the whole monitor or just the chassis?

Just the monitor - maybe the chassis.

Operation Wolf originally shipped with Wells-Gardner 19k7000 monitors. However, I have seen some with Hantarex monitors.

I emailed Wells Gardner that info (mine has a 19K7601 ) and Jeff told me that the WGE1977-H0GS39R would work.

I have heard that newer wells gardners are unreliable.  I would try Nieman, Billabs, Happ Controls/Tovis, Wei-ya, or Betson Imperial/Kortek instead.
