Is there any places that sell an exact replacement for the pacman joystick? The reunion joysticks are microswitches and the ball top doesn't look the same. I got a cheap leaf switch joystick and replaced the shaft/balltop with a pacman shaft/balltop, but it doesn't fit quite right, it's still loose.
Bottom line, is there any place that sells the exact stick? The base, stick, switches, everything in one?

I can't remember exactly where, but I believe I have seen NOS before...they were mucho expensive though. I'll try to locate it again.
-
yeah, let me know if you can....the only NOS ones i can find are the reunion sticks, which are quite different.

If you can get ahold of some WICO 4-ways, you can use the adaptor plate the Bob roberts sells to make them fit the pacman. That will be about the best leaf replacement you could use.

Did you look at this one already?

All of the links provided are for sticks with microswitches, and the balltop is not the same. They will work, but are not identical. The quarterarcade one is an exact, but used. I might have to go that route if I can't find anything else.

The rubber grommets are available brand new. Unless there's other things wrong with the joystick, this should bring it back to working condition.
-
Where can the new grommets be purchased? That's the main thing wrong with the stick i currently have.
-
They are on ebay fairly frequently. They are pretty pricey though. Expect to pay about $20 shipped.
-
The other two parts that wear out are the shaft cover, and the restrictor at the bottom.
There is a seller that puts the lower restrictors on ebay now and then, and the shaft covers are just a piece of hollow nylon.
You should be able to pick up a suitable substitute at Home Depot.

And you would still need the adaptor plate.
