I need info from any Kiwis or Aussies out there.
I can get hold of joysticks and buttons etc but monitors & keyboard encoders hmmmm. Any help?
-
Ozstick (www.ozstick.com.au) has the keyboard encoders but you can always get them direct from Ultimarc if you want the Ipac/Optipac, or from the US if you want the Keywiz (sorry but don't know who does this - you'll have to look around). I got all my parts from overseas as it seemed more viable to me. Considering you're getting them delivered to NZ it might also be viable to get from US/UK. I found it was cheaper to get direct from supplier o/s than a distributor in the eastern states. (I'm from WA).
Check out www.zax.com.au I see they have arcade monitors.

Awesome, I have a control panel on order form OZstick (I ordered before I decided to build my own but I'll buy it anyway). I didn't realise they had keyboard encoders so that's very helpful. Thankyou.

www.highway.net.au
has a few arcade parts there not into mame but the joysticks and cool sideart etc are from them.
they have buttons and locks etc
and they are in NSW so have a look if it helps u ;D

ozstick also sell joysticks and buttons. and coin mechs.
iirc they are the same as the ultimarc stuff.
edit: just re-read your post and you said you could get joysticks/buttons - sorry!
Re:monitors, check out jomac.net.au - I got my chassis repaired there when I got a free "dead" monitor with an empty cab. But they are in perth so shipping to nz may be an issue.

Im a Kiwi.
I purchased some equipment recently directly from Ultimarc. It was cheaper than Ozstick, and it got to me in 5 days. So I would use them. Other than that. Arcades in you town? Ask who their repairer is maybe?
I dont think there is really anywhere like ozstick or ultimarc in NZ..... But someone can probably correct me if Im wrong here :D
