Title: Pac-Man Maze Hoodie...
Post by: melarky on December 17, 2007, 04:01:29 pm
Not sure if this is already posted elsewhere (search doesn't seem to be working for me right now, keeps returning an error about not being able to contact the search daemon or something like that).

Anyway, this past weekend I was at the mall, and I noticed they had these pac-man maze hoodies at Hot Topic (http://www.hottopic.com/hottopic/store/product.jsp?FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302029002&PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442169993&bmUID=1197925002933).  Unfortunately, they didn't have any in my size (size fat), so I had to pass, but I figure there are some people here that could fit into them that may appreciate them more than the emo kids who usually shop at hot topic :).

Uh...anyone who posts on these forums is living in denial about just how nerdy he is...

Anyway, I wouldn't recommend clothing from Hot Topic. Even when you can find stuff in XL, the material their shirts are made out of is so ridiculously low quality that you'll be lucky if it survives a half dozen washings. The prints on the shirts wear off easily and the fabric is usually this really, really thin material. Like girlie pajama shirt thin.

They don't have that in fat beacuse it would totally ruin the aspect ratio... Pac Man is not a 16:9 game.   ;D

I'd say I'm nerdy enough, but I also have a little bit of taste in clothes. If it weren't an all-over print I'd buy it immediately. One maze on the front would have been awesome.

I saw one of these in the store over the weekend... it's pretty cheaply made.  Definitely not a Champion quality sweatshirt.

It's pretty thick, Actually.

Thicker than any other of the hoodies i own.

And i have quite a few.

My only Gripe, Is when u wash it.

It automatically loses the new look.

But to me, material wise, It is put together fine.

The material was thick, I agree.  The stitching was crap compared to what you'd get from someone like Reebok, Nike, or Champion at the same price.   Weak seams.

I guess they figure, Your not going to be running a marathon in it?

If so? You would need it to be made by NIKE, REEBOK or CHAMPION ?

Hell, If the sleeves or Hood falls off?

I'll just get Grandma to sew them back on.

No biggie.   ;)

"Weak seems"

I love video games almost as much as the next video game junkie and still would not be caught dead in one of these hoodies. I don't know about you, but I'd guess it could be put to good use if chicks were constantly swarming around you and you needed a good chick repellent, then perhaps. Even then, as problematic as that may seem  ::), I'd choose not to.

I look at it this way... for $20 it is worth buying if you would wear it.  For $45 it better come with a twenty in the pocket.

whoa whoa whoa...let me get this straight, you didn't like something?

You know, not everyone is hard on the seams of their clothing.  :o My dress shirts cost $100 each, but have mockably weak seams.  Of course, I guess I don't play football in a dress shirt, but I don't think someone who would buy this gets a whole lot of exercise either.  For marathon sessions of WoW, this would be perfect.  ;)

Anything is suitable for sitting on your ass all day so long as it is covered...
