i recently ran into this site wich has consoles really cheap. examples are xbox 360 elite for 249.00. wii for 189.00.
"link removed so i dont send anyone there to buy by accident."
beware of cancost.com
now some of the prices there seem too good to be true. in one case a tv was 3 grand cheaper then the competition. how can i check to see if this is a safe site to order from.

I typically start by checking out the BBB report. It's not always 100% accurate, but it gives you a pretty good starting point with which to work with. I went ahead and checked it out for you (http://www.fortworth.bbb.org/commonreport.html?compid=175534441). No valid phone numbers, only accepts money via wire transfer and the address is a residential address in Texas....
I smell fish.
So a quick Google of my standard catch all phrase of name + sucks netted me a discussion on Amazon forums (http://www.amazon.com/tag/wii/forum/ref=cm_cd_t_rt_tft_tp?%5Fencoding=UTF8&cdForum=Fx2XS0K4TUWVI8D&cdThread=Tx1QXMM4YEBIWTT).
Chicago? Texas? Kentucky?!?
Chicago is a well known cesspool for rip off ---uvulas--- dealing in gray market or stripped down high end cameras.
A quote from one of the emails.

We the lawful company? Why does that remind me of Nigeria?
That fish is starting to smell like three day old fish from the bottom of the Hudson after it's been sitting in the back of some white trash gringo's truck.

yikes. as always to good to be true rings true. even the circle of excellent bizrate logo they have on thier site is fake. i guess bizrate doesnt even list them as a vender. the website just went up the 4th of december.
thanks for looking into in for me i would have lost my money for sure there it seems.

If you have to tell your customers you're a "lawful company" without being asked, it's usually a bad sign. ;D

"Western Union only"
Run. Always run.

Big scam...

You should probably send them money. It's the only way to be sure.
