Title: Possible to change U360 stick from bat to ball?

I couldn't decide at the time so I went with the bat top sticks.  Now the style of what I'm building has changed and the ball would be better.  I was under the impression that they were different diameter sticks.   My question then is, are the bases the same?  If i got the ball top and shaft, could I retrofit these to be the ball top type?

My problem was that I never got to play at real arcades as a kid, so I never developed a strong preference making it hard to decide.  I have a suspicion that I'm getting power tools for Christmas, so very close to starting finally.

You would have to order and change out the shaft too as they aren't the same size.
