Title: Black Knight repro playfields
Post by: ChadTower on December 14, 2007, 10:36:29 am

Anyone else in on these (http://www.classicplayfields.com/photo10.html)?  After waiting nearly a year, the invoices are finally out... got mine this morning.

Got a Wii off CircuitCity.com a few minutes ago, too, finally, for Xmas.

What a morning!

Way to start off the day.

Not in on the playfield, but I did get the HH backglass from them.  Sadly it's still boxed up.

I assume you'll post photos during your project.

I do have a BK sitting waiting for these playfields... but I've never done anything remotely like a swap.  I also have to shop the game and repaint the cabinet as this game works 100% but is rough.  It could be a bit of time before I get to this project since I have a lot of work on my house that needs doing but you have to get the key part when it hits the market...

...and yeah, one hell of a morning so far... I also got to come in to work way late because my kids' school day was delayed due to the snowstorm in New England.

Really nice!

The swap won't be that bad if you have plenty of space and you are detail-oriented.

I recommend predrilling pilot holes.

New shed?

Bathroom really needs some cosmetic refurb work... need to replace the ancient medicine cabinet, add storage, yank down old wallpaper and repaint.  Maybe yank up the sink and replace the laminate on the counter.

Did you go with the black or silver edition?

My dad is going the money order route, so I am hoping we will get one.

The instructions said to email Kevin about availability for silver ones, so I did that... I will buy one if I can get one but won't be too sore if I don't get one.

The silver edition was sold out in a couple of hours.  I ended up with a standard one - mostly because I waited too long to contact them.  Damn that busy work day.   ;D

I hope they will make new Xenon playfields....

They've been hinting at Xenon being next for a while now... and also High Speed.  I almost bought a beater Xenon a couple months back just in case but don't have room.

looking forward to seeing your progress. I was in the pinball repair/restore/sell business from 90-95 and only got my hands on one black knight.

I can't really do anything with it until the end of Feb... that's the cure date on the clearcoat.  Plus I just started the Tank II.
