Donkey Kong Jr = DK 2

There is no DK 4

I believe dirt means the DK 4-board pcb vs the 2-board pcb (cocktail vs upright).

yep, i need the 4board version of the dk pcb. the 4board sets were not only used in the cocktails they put some in uprights as well. that is what i have, an upright with dedicated 4board wireing. and just for the record there is:
dk
dk jr
dk3
d2k
;D

So you have the 3 power connectors? (P7, P9, P10) along with all the others (Control, Key, service, sound, monitor)?
If so, a 2-board will also work. It just does not require the P7 connection to the sound board since the sound board is on one of the two boards.
I went through the same thing, but I can plug in my DKJr 2-board and my DK 4-board into an upright.

if the ribbon power cable is connected between the 2 boards, just disconnect it first.
