The red comes over the screen at anytime, even if not touched. It will go away when I reboot, but will return. Looks like the jamma board has been worked on. I just bought this from an arcade dealer. He wants me to haul the thing back over to him, or bring him the monitor. Sorry I'm not sure of the Model WG, but the board has P717 on it. Any ideas?

sounds like a leaky red drive transistor

if the crt is a zenith, there is a good posibility of an intermittent heater/cathode short.
zenith crts circa 94-95 seem prone
the short will cause the pic to go bright red, blue or green depending on the affected gun.
retrace lines will also be viewable. a shorted video output transistor will give the same symptom.

I was also told it could be a loss of green input.
I will check for solid connections then go to the transitors next.

Just a FYI, the damage you see on the edge connector for your board is common damage from too much current being drawn through there by the hard drive. If your machine isn't already wired so that the hard drive is powered directly off the power supply and not via the board, then you should make that change.

The hard drive has power has been rerouted to the main power supply. Looks like it's a loss of the green signal to the monitor. Looking at the neckboard, it shows signs of excessive heat from the 3 transistors. Two of them were loose on the board. I resoldered them and it worked great for awhile, but now back to the same. I may have to replace the transistors or look for a new neck board.
