Title: Mala screensaver videos.
Post by: JustusIV on December 12, 2007, 10:40:55 pm
I just set up mala and it is working fantastic, I love it. I have it setup to show my mame\videos folder as a screen saver, however i always see games i like but do not know how to find them as the video does not say what it is. I was wondering if there is a way to display the title of the video or make it so it can skip on my list to that game. etc One thing i have noticed is it is playing all videos not just videos of the current list i am on. For example if i had the genre set to fighter/versus it will still play all videos. It would be nice if it would just play the current list.

Any help is appreciated
Thanks

Only thing you can do is via a plug-in to output the LCD or betabrite

What do you think about only displaying the videos of the games in the game list? With a little elbow grease that could be an option :)
Thanks for your time

It's great to here that this has finally been fixed in Mala (Video Screensaver), I guess I missed that :)

Some users still have issues,  Seems to be fussy about your Codec Setup.

Has anyone else ever experienced the issue I'm having with them?

The play fine for a day or two and then after that I get an error message saying something like No Files Found.  After I clear that the error happens faster and faster until I just get annoyed and restart MaLa and then it's good for a day or two again...

I am open to suggestions but dive was worse and everything else equates to larger file sizes or lower quality.  I use the default xvid settings.

sorry by 'your' I meant the individual PC codec install...

I did not mean your Video Collection encoding method.

In any case it's just an issue for some users on Fullscreen stuff like the screensaver

Oh ok, still I wish there was something I could do, the whole point of the HiQ set was to look great as a screensaver.  So far it seems AtomicFE and Mamewah are the only ones that can use the HiQ set without issue.
